Hai-Anh
A mother tells her daughter about her teenage years spent in hiding during the war in Vietnam against the US. Between 1969 and 1975, Linh, now a director, spent seven years with the communist revolutionaries, who introduced her to the resistance and to film.
This graphic novel, Sông, is an intimate narrative by a Vietnamese woman of an untold part of history and a portrait into the complex relationship that Hai-Anh, the author, has with her mother and her roots.
